James is a seasoned film producer with 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He started his film career at the famed Gersh Agency working for Phil and David Gersh and servicing clients such as Jan de Bont, Simon West, George Romero, Stan Winston, and Guillermo del Toro.

In 2000 he formed The Syndicate, a full-service production company, with directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America 2 & 3, Avengers 3 & 4) and developed and produced Welcome to Collinwood with Oscar winners George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh (Warner Brothers). The Syndicate relocated its operations to Universal Studios and has produced films for 21st Century Fox, Sony Pictures, Universal, and Warner Brothers.

James is currently the founder and managing partner of Bright Force Media, is a full member of the Producers Guild of America and has five TV series in active development with Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Magnificent Seven, Equalizer 1 & 2), Richard Wenk (Southpaw, Equalizer 1 & 2), John Hlavin (Shooter), Beth Schacter (Quantico) and Erica Messer and Erica Meredith (Criminal Minds).
